Priyanka Chopra remembers Rishi Kapoor, says his extraordinary smile could make people go weak in the knees
Bollywood is still in shock and mourning for the loss of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor who left for his heavenly abode on April 30. While fans and Bollywood celebs are still sharing his memories Priyanka Chopra recently penned her thoughts and walked down the memory lane as she remembered the ace actor. Writing for a publication, Priyanka remembered Rishi Kapoor and lauded his effervescence and flamboyance. According to her, the actor had a passion of a Shakespearean hero with a generous dollop of innocence added in.
Elaborating further, she added that his charisma was in his extraordinary smile, one that made his fans go weak in the knees. And when he danced, he made us all want to jump up and join him.
She further remembered the time when she had the privilege of working with him in ‘Agneepath’ in which he played a fierce, no-holds-barred character, someone to hate rather than love.
Talking about the sad demise of the actor, she stated that it is an end of end era for Hindi cinema but as the late actor’s father Raj Kapoor once said in his film, ‘Mera Naam Joker’, ‘the show must go on’.
Giving strength to his family, Priyanka gave a message that the world is grieving with them and she is grateful for having had the opportunity of knowing them personally. Meanwhile, Priyanka is self-quarantined at home with her husband Nick Jonas and family. She is often seen taking to her social media handles to entertain, interact, and guide her fans in these testing times of coronavirus lockdown.
